Description
The 2018 1oz Platinum The Queen's Beasts Griffin of Edward III is the second of ten designs in The Royal Mint’s Queen’s Beasts series. Its reverse shows the griffin clutching a shield, while the obverse carries the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Both sides were designed by Jody Clark. Containing one troy ounce of 999.5 fine platinum, this £100 UK legal tender bullion coin draws on the heraldic statues created by James Woodford for the Queen’s 1953 coronation.
