Description
The 1oz Platinum Britannia is a United Kingdom bullion coin struck by The Royal Mint in one troy ounce of 999.5 fine platinum. Its £100 face value gives it official UK legal-tender status. The reverse carries Philip Nathan’s 1987 Britannia design, depicting Britannia with a trident, a shield bearing the Union Flag and an olive branch. Security details include a latent image changing between a padlock and trident, wave-like surface animation, tincture lines on the shield and the micro-text ‘Decus et Tutamen’.
