Description
The 2019 1oz Platinum The Queen's Beasts Black Bull of Clarence is the fourth animal in The Royal Mint's ten-coin Queen's Beasts series, launched in 2016. The reverse shows the bull standing behind a shield bearing the Royal Arms of King Edward IV, while the obverse carries the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Jody Clark designed both sides of this £100 bullion coin. Struck in 999.5 fine platinum, it weighs 31.10 grams and measures 32.69mm in diameter. The Black Bull is associated with the House of York and was among the ten heraldic statues created for the 1953 coronation.
