Description
The 2022 Gold Proof Sovereign QEII Memorial NGC PF70 (UCAM) commemorates the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II. Its date-specific reverse replaces the traditional St George and the Dragon with Jody Clark’s representation of the Royal Coat of Arms, while Martin Jennings’ obverse carries the first definitive coinage portrait of King Charles III. Certified NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo, this £1 sovereign is struck in 22-carat gold and weighs 7.98 grams. The Royal Mint set a maximum mintage of 17,500 for the individually presented proof sovereign.
