The 1937 Gold Proof Sovereign is a United Kingdom £1 gold coin from the Sovereign series. Its reverse features Benedetto Pistrucci’s Saint George slaying the dragon, a design first introduced in 1817. Struck in 22-carat gold with a fineness of 91.67%, this proof sovereign has a standard weight of 7.98 grams and a diameter of 22.05 millimetres. It is certified by NGC at PF65.
