The 2017 1/4oz Gold Proof The Queen's Beasts Unicorn of Scotland NGC PF70 (UCAM) is the second of ten designs in The Royal Mint’s Queen’s Beasts collection. Its reverse shows the Unicorn of Scotland holding a shield bearing the Scottish lion rampant, while the obverse carries Queen Elizabeth II’s fifth definitive portrait. Both designs are by Jody Clark. Struck in 999.9 fine gold with a £25 face value, this proof coin is certified NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo. The individual 1/4oz gold proof issue had a maximum mintage of 2,500 coins.
