Description
The 1oz Gold The Queen's Beasts Black Bull of Clarence is a 2018 Royal Mint bullion coin and the fourth design in the ten-coin Queen's Beasts series. Its reverse shows a bull standing behind a shield bearing the Royal Arms used by Edward IV, while the obverse carries the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Jody Clark designed both sides. The Black Bull is based on one of James Woodford's ten heraldic Beasts created for the Queen's 1953 coronation to represent her genealogy. Struck in one troy ounce of .9999 fine gold, the coin has a face value of £100 and is UK legal tender.
