Description
The 1/4oz Gold The Queen's Beasts Black Bull of Clarence is a 2018 UK bullion coin and the fourth design in the ten-coin Queen's Beasts series, inspired by the heraldic statues that guarded Westminster Abbey during the 1953 coronation. The reverse shows the Black Bull holding a shield bearing the Royal Arms used by Edward IV, reflecting its association with the House of York. Jody Clark designed both the reverse and the obverse portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Struck in 999.9 fine gold, the coin weighs 7.78 grams, measures 22mm in diameter and has a £25 face value.
