Description
The 2022 Gold Proof Half Sovereign is a British gold coin featuring Queen Elizabeth II’s second decimal portrait, designed by Arnold Machin, on the obverse. Benedetto Pistrucci’s St George and the Dragon appears on the reverse, continuing the established design associated with the sovereign series. Struck in 22-carat gold, this proof half sovereign weighs 3.99 grams and measures 19.30 mm in diameter. It is certified by NGC at PF70, the highest grade on the service’s proof coin scale.
