Description
This 2024 United Kingdom bullion coin contains 1 troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold and carries a face value of £100. Struck by The Royal Mint, it is presented here as an NGC MS70 graded coin.
The reverse unites Britannia and Liberty for the first time on a UK coin. Jointly created by Royal Mint Chief Engraver Gordon Summers and US Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna, the opposing profiles take inspiration from court cards: Britannia appears with her trident and Corinthian helmet, while Liberty is shown with torch and stars. The obverse bears Martin Jennings’ portrait of King Charles III.
A distinctive addition for collectors of modern British bullion, this piece combines high-purity gold, a transatlantic collaborative design and the catalogue-stated MS70 grade. NGC defines MS70 as a Mint State coin with no post-production imperfections visible at 5× magnification.
