Description
The 2006 Gold Proof Half Sovereign is a British 22-carat gold coin featuring Arnold Machin’s second decimal portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The reverse carries Benedetto Pistrucci’s St George and the Dragon design, long associated with the sovereign series. Struck to proof standard, the coin weighs 3.99 grams and measures 19.30mm in diameter. Its face value is 50 pence.
