This 2023 United Kingdom £100 gold bullion coin commemorates the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and is presented in a PCGS holder graded MS70. Struck by The Royal Mint, it contains one troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold and forms part of the limited-mintage Coronation Cypher bullion range.
The obverse carries Martin Jennings’s first crowned coinage portrait of King Charles III. On the reverse, John Bergdahl’s Royal Cypher is set within a laurel-wreath coronation design, created specifically to mark the coronation held on 6 May 2023. The issue has a mintage limit of 7,500 coins.
PCGS MS70 is its highest Mint State grade, denoting a fully struck, lustrous coin with no visual marks under 5× magnification according to PCGS standards. Combining a coronation-specific design, a first crowned portrait and third-party grading, this is a well-defined addition for collectors of modern British gold coinage.
