The 1oz Gold The Angel is a 2026 Royal Mint bullion coin, struck in one troy ounce of .9999 fine gold. Its reverse presents Bradley Morgan’s modern depiction of the Archangel Michael slaying a dragon, while the obverse bears the official coinage portrait of King Charles III. The Angel design originated under Edward IV in 1465 and was traditionally used on coins given as touch pieces to people suffering from the condition known as ‘King’s Evil’. This United Kingdom legal-tender issue has a face value of £100.
