The Gold Proof £5 Queen's Coronation Imperial State Crown NGC PF70 (UCAM) was issued in 2013 to mark the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. James Butler designed both sides, pairing the Imperial State Crown on the reverse with a specially commissioned commemorative portrait of the Queen on the obverse. Struck in 22-carat gold to a proof finish, the coin weighs 39.94 grams and measures 38.61mm in diameter. This example is certified NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo, the highest proof grade. The Royal Mint set a maximum mintage of 2,600, including a limited edition presentation of 2,013.
