The Gold Proof £5 Diana Gold Memorial Coin (w/Box) is a 1999 United Kingdom commemorative issued to support the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund following her death in August 1997. Its reverse carries David Cornell’s right-facing profile portrait of Diana, while the obverse bears Ian Rank-Broadley’s fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Struck in .9167 fine, 22-carat gold, the coin weighs 39.94 grams and measures 38.61mm in diameter. It has a proof finish and a face value of £5.
