The 1/4oz Gold White Horse of Hanover is a 2020 Royal Mint bullion coin and the ninth of ten designs in the Queen’s Beasts series. The series draws on the heraldic statues present at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Struck in 999.9 fine gold, the reverse shows the White Horse holding a shield bearing the arms of Great Britain, Ireland, France and Hanover. The emblem entered the British Royal Arms in 1714 when George Louis, Elector of Hanover, became George I. Jody Clark designed both the reverse and the obverse portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
