The 2022 1oz Gold The Tudor Beasts Lion of England NGC MS69 is the first animal issue in The Royal Mint’s Tudor Beasts bullion series, which followed the Queen’s Beasts collection. David Lawrence’s reverse shows the Lion of England holding a shield bearing the impaled arms of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, drawing on the heraldic beasts at Hampton Court Palace. Certified NGC MS69, the coin contains one troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold and carries a £100 face value. The obverse features Jody Clark’s fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
