The 1/4oz Gold Queens Beast The Greyhound of Richmond is a 2021 Royal Mint bullion coin and the tenth and final animal in the Queen’s Beasts series. Its reverse shows the white greyhound holding a shield bearing the Tudor Rose and royal crown, while the obverse carries the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Both designs are by Jody Clark. Struck in a quarter troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold, the coin measures 22mm in diameter. The Greyhound of Richmond was used by Henry VII as a heraldic badge representing his descent from the Earls of Richmond and his Lancastrian connections.
