The 1/10oz Gold Austrian Philharmonic (Random Year) is an Austrian bullion coin struck in .9999 fine, 24-karat gold. Introduced to the Philharmonic series in 1991, it features the Great Organ of Vienna’s Musikverein on the obverse and an arrangement of orchestral instruments on the reverse. Designed by Austrian Mint Chief Engraver Thomas Pesendorfer, each coin contains exactly one-tenth of a troy ounce of gold. Euro-dated issues carry a face value of €10, replacing the earlier 200 Austrian Schilling denomination following Austria’s adoption of the euro.
