Is my 1947 Centenario a restrike?
Very likely. Mexico struck official Centenario restrikes dated 1947 for many years. They contain the same 37.5g of fine gold and we buy them on the same basis.
Which Mexican Gold Peso denominations do you buy?
We buy the six main Centenario-family coins: 50, 20, 10, 5, 2½ and 2 Pesos. If you are unsure which one you have, send a clear photograph and we will help identify it.
Do you buy Mexican coins that were mounted in jewellery?
Yes. We buy mounted coins and coins that have been removed from mounts. Solder, edge damage or polishing can affect the final offer, and we explain any adjustment before you decide.
Can an original-date or graded Centenario be worth more?
Yes. Original dates, higher grades, attractive surfaces and professionally graded coins may carry additional collector value, so we assess those individually.
How and when do I get paid?
Once we have inspected your Mexican Gold Pesos and you accept the final offer, we arrange payment by cash or bank transfer. For coins sent by post, payment is by bank transfer.
